Thad Moffitt Partners with Folsom's Honey before Trans Am Racing Debut
Trans Am Racing is very competitive, and Thad Moffitt has a new sponsorship partner, Folsom's Honey, to show off when he debuts. Folsom's Honey is a bee and honey company that is both owned and operated by veterans. They are committed to providing their customers with the finest honey products available, beginning with their focus on utilizing exceptional buckin' bees.
Jon Folsom, a US Navy Veteran and former professional Bull Rider, began keeping bees on his property in Southern Ohio in 2016. Folsom's Local Sweet Load Honey quickly became one of the region's most rapidly growing brands, consistently outpacing his bees' honey production.
In the Spring of 2022, Jared Ashley, a country music singer-songwriter and longtime friend who is also a US Navy Veteran, convinced Jon that it was time to introduce his Sweet Load to a wider audience.
With their goal in sight, they embarked on a mission to make Folsom's exceptional honey available to the masses. However, they realized that producing high-quality honey was only one piece of the puzzle. To ensure the brand's success, they called upon David Keller, a marketing veteran, and former marine, to lead its e-commerce strategy.
Thad Moffitt is an American stock car racing driver. He was born on August 18, 2000, in Trinity, North Carolina, USA. He is the grandson of NASCAR legend Richard Petty and the son of Kyle Petty's daughter, Rebecca Petty Moffitt.
Moffitt began his go-kart racing career and later competed in Legends Cars, Bandolero Cars, and Late Model Stock Cars. In 2017, he made his ARCA Racing Series debut, and in 2020, he competed in the ARCA Menards Series East, where he finished 7th in the championship standings. He has also made a few starts in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series and the NASCAR Xfinity Series.
The Trans Am TA2 class is a racing class within the Trans Am Series, a North American motorsport series that features high-performance cars competing in multiple classes. TA2 is one of the most popular classes in the series, featuring purpose-built race cars that are designed to resemble production cars such as the Chevrolet Camaro, Ford Mustang, and Dodge Challenger.
TA2 cars are built according to rules and regulations designed to keep costs down and ensure close racing. The cars are powered by 6.2-liter V8 engines that produce around 525 horsepower and are mated to a four-speed sequential transmission. They have a tube-frame chassis and use a combination of bespoke and off-the-shelf components to keep costs down.
The TA2 class is known for its close racing and competitive field, with many experienced drivers and up-and-coming talents competing for victories. The class has its own championship standings within the Trans Am Series, and it is often featured in its own races and part of multi-class events.
